Abstract
The main purpose of this article is to analyze the experience of Local Governments which is Turkey’s first graduate-level department. The data obtained from the questionnaire based on quantitative research method was examined from the workshop held in April 2019 on the opinions and professional futures of the students of Local Government department which established in 2012, started education and training activities in 2015 and first graduates in 2019. As a result of the examinations, the current situation, problems, experience and inferences about this department were made. The findings are expected to contribute to the literature by acting as a projection for both newly established local government departments and undergraduate programs likely to be established.
